# What the CPaaS section actually says

Study notes. Not vendor documentation and not legal advice.

- The Wikipedia article that opened for this name is Platform as a service, and it has a section titled Communications platform as a service.
- That section calls a CPaaS a cloud-based platform that lets developers add real-time communications features, voice, video, and messaging, in their own applications without building the back-end infrastructure and interfaces.
- The same paragraph says these applications are much more sensitive to jitter, latency, and packet loss.
- It also says hosted PBX, cellular networks, and near-real-time applications typically are deployed on CPaaS platforms.
- A vendor price, a port list, and a certification badge are not in that paragraph.

Write four words from the section: voice, video, messaging, and the infrastructure you are not building. Under them write confirm next to any monthly price a slide has added.
