voice class sip-profiles
A voice class sip-profiles rule can add, modify, or remove a header on a named method. Inbound support arrived after Cisco IOS 15.4.
Learn in 5 minutes
- Read request INVITE sip-header rules
- Separate this object from a CUCM SIP profile
- Test a rule before blaming the carrier
Visual
The lab removes Diversion. modify and add are the other two actions.
Worked example
Remove Diversion Run the CUBE subset rule against the inbound INVITE. Diversion should disappear.
- Read the voice class rule.
- Run it on the INVITE.
- Confirm Diversion is gone.
Vendor menus, ports, and license names change. Confirm before relying on a sentence that is not an RFC.
Fault
The carrier complains about Diversion. debug output still shows the header on the sent INVITE.
The sent INVITE still contains the header the rule was supposed to delete.
