Bridges from enterprise UC to open platforms
CUCM, Webex, and the contact center already have SIP seams in this lab. The open projects are the other side of a trunk, not a hidden mode inside CUCM.
Learn in 5 minutes
- Keep CUCM SIP Profile and a CUBE SIP profile distinct
- Name Local Gateway as the Webex premises PSTN role
- Place Asterisk or FreeSWITCH on the far side of a SIP trunk, not inside the Cisco product
Visual
Each box keeps the job its own document gives it. The arrow is SIP.
Worked example
Name both sides A trunk is up. Name the object on each side without merging the names.
- Read the CUCM side.
- Read the open side.
- Say where the dialplan is.
Fault
A CUCM SIP Profile name was copied into an Asterisk file. The trunk fails and the note says the profiles are the same object.
A CUCM SIP Profile is not a CUBE sip-profiles list and not pjsip.conf.
