Legal and credits

What this repository says about itself, and what to confirm before you rely on it. Where a file in this checkout does not repeat a licence header, this page says so.

Disclaimer

This is an independent, free, learning-only student project. It respects every company and vendor, and every trademark belongs to its owner. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them. Nothing here is sold.

Room pages cite vendor articles. A sentence marked for a re-check, and any number you have not opened on the vendor page yourself, is a study note. Confirm the live vendor page before you rely on a limit, a port, a SKU, or a click-path.

Trademarks

Cisco, Webex, Control Hub, Unified CM, and the other product names in the rooms are trademarks of their owners. This lab is not a Cisco product and it does not sign in to a tenant.

Third-party code

vendor/README.md and LICENSE record these offline copies:

  • anime.js 4.5.0 — MIT. The file vendor/anime.esm.min.js carries an MIT licence comment.
  • three.js r170 — MIT. vendor/three.module.min.js carries SPDX MIT and copyright 2010-2024 Three.js Authors. The same build is under archive/webex-lab-v1/campus/vendor/three/, which has a LICENSE file.
  • rough.js 4.6.6 — listed as MIT in vendor/README.md. The minified file in this checkout does not repeat a licence header. Confirm the upstream notice before you rely on that line.
  • D3 7.9.0 — listed as ISC in vendor/README.md and LICENSE. The minified file does not repeat a licence header. Confirm upstream before you rely on that line.
  • canvas-confetti 1.9.3 — listed as ISC. The minified file does not repeat a licence header. Confirm upstream before you rely on that line.
  • markmap-view 0.18.12 — listed as MIT in vendor/README.md. The bundled file also contains an ISC notice for @gera2ld/jsx-dom v2.2.2. Confirm both notices upstream before you rely on the split.

GSAP is not vendored. LICENSE says its standard licence is not MIT. Mermaid is not shipped as a runtime. Sound themes in the guide are generated with the Web Audio API in the browser. They are not third-party recordings.

Privacy

This site does not include an analytics tag, an advertising tag, or an account. A search of the HTML and JavaScript in this checkout found no analytics loader. Preferences (theme, text size, the welcome tour, the guide’s voice choice, and the monkey’s height) stay in this browser’s local storage. The service worker caches pages for offline reading on this origin. Read-aloud uses the browser speech engine. Voice input, when the browser has it, stays in the page. The guide does not send a question to a server: window.CANON_GUIDE.endpoint is left unset.

Accessibility

Pages start with a skip link. The menu closes with Escape and can be moved with the arrow keys. Text size, font color, theme, and a reduce-motion control are in Display. The contrast theme is one of those themes. The guide can be dragged and dismissed. If speech recognition or speech synthesis is missing, the page says so and the text box still works. This is not a formal accessibility audit.
