Compute, cloud, and a capstone · L2 · 20 min
A one-page policy
Learn in five minutes
- The page names the corpus, the tools, the cap, and the approver.
- It names the channels: voice, chat, message.
- It says what is refused: missing facts, secrets, and undo-hard actions without a person.
- It points at the golden set.
- It is a learning page, not a company policy you can hand to a regulator as if it were adopted.
One page is enough because the capstone is small. A longer policy that nobody can test is worse than five rules you can fail.

Five rules
- Corpus: cards you wrote.
- Tools: read note only.
- Cap: three rounds.
- Channels: chat first.
- Approver: you, before any sentence that leaves the machine.
- The golden set includes one refusal.

Ecosystem
- Policy page
- The short rules the capstone is graded against.
Sisters: Schedulers, Regions, Key management, Risk frameworks.
A cloud endpoint can replace a local runner behind the same notebook and the same eval.
Pin the endpoint, the region, and the model id the day you check them.
Config
- Write the goal in one sentence.
- Name the input and the allowed output.
- Save the trace next to the result.
Troubleshooting
- The answer looks fluent and is wrong. Check whether a source passage actually contains the claim.
- The loop never stops. Set a step cap and stop when the tool result repeats.
