Teams Direct Routing
The certified SBC speaks SIP to Teams and to the carrier. OPTIONS health comes before the first INVITE.
- OPTIONS — The SBC must answer Teams. A failed OPTIONS takes the trunk down before users dial.
- INVITE — Teams sends the call for a number assigned to a Direct Routing voice route.
- INVITE — The SBC's own dial plan picks the carrier.
- RTP — Media bypass, when it is in the design, changes where RTP goes. It does not remove the SBC from signaling.
Operator Connect and Calling Plan do not use your SBC. Read the user's PSTN connectivity type before you collect an SBC trace. The Florida Crystals story on the integrations page moved from Direct Routing to Operator Connect. Those are different paths.
