Conference
Ad-hoc conference hairpins media in a bridge. The bridge has a codec list and a capacity.
- Conf — Alice presses conference and the first call is held.
- Consult — The second party is dialed.
- Allocate — The media resource group list on the phone must reach a bridge that speaks both codecs.
- RTP — Both parties send RTP to the bridge, not to each other.
A conference that drops to two-party audio failed the bridge, often on codec or on the media resource group list. DSP exhaustion shows up here and on transcoding.
