Interview practice

These answers are fictional practice for a made-up team. They are not a biography and they are not a claim that anyone has run Amazon Connect in production.

Routing

Situation: two teams were both set to priority 1. Task: keep overflow in reserve. Action: the fictional team set the primary queue to priority 1 with delay 0 and the reserve queue to a higher number. Result: the reserve team stopped taking the first call. Source: the routing profile room.

Lambda

Situation: a function was tuned to 30 seconds in the Lambda console. Task: stop the flow from hanging up. Action: the fictional team matched the block timeout to work that can finish in 8 seconds, or moved the slow part to the async pattern in the lesson. Result: the error branch became a prompt instead of silence. Source: the Lambda room.

Bridge

Situation: a skill group, a script, and a desktop gadget were all called the queue. Task: write a map. Action: the fictional team mapped the skill group to a queue, the script to a contact flow, and the desktop to the CCP. Result: the design review stopped arguing about one word. Source: the mapping room.
