What Connect actually depends on

You cannot debug a contact center if you treat AWS as a logo on the invoice.

Regions, endpoints, and why Osaka is special

A Region is a capacity, latency, and residency boundary. It is not a checkbox you can flip on a live number.

IAM is not the security profile

Agents get a security profile. Automations get an IAM principal. Mixing the names produces a policy that cannot place a call and a user who can.

Lambda is a seam, not a place to hide a CRM

The flow will not wait for a slow system of record. Design the function for the timeout you actually have.

S3 holds the proof

Recordings, chat transcripts, exported reports, and attachments are objects. If the bucket policy is wrong, the contact still 'succeeds' and the file is missing.

Kinesis is how the ecosystem listens

Anything that must react to agents or to finished contacts needs a stream, not a person refreshing a report.

CloudWatch tells you the flow ran

Without flow logs you are guessing which block took the error branch.

The network path is part of the product

Connect's softphone is WebRTC in the agent's browser. A firewall designed for a desk phone will block it.

Certifications and the badges that are not certifications

There is no Amazon Connect specialty exam on the AWS Certification catalog. Pretending a badge is that exam misleads a hiring plan.

A depends-on map you can defend

Every later track names the foundation it needs. If that foundation is missing, the track's lab will show the same fault.
