Twilio and Vonage, from the articles
Use the articles for the company and the product family, not for this month's invoice. Twilio's story on the page is an API company: voice in 2008, messaging in 2010, later Authy and SendGrid. The breach years are a reason this lab never stores a credential. They are not a configuration step.

What is going on
Use the articles for the company and the product family, not for this month's invoice. Twilio's story on the page is an API company: voice in 2008, messaging in 2010, later Authy and SendGrid. The breach years are a reason this lab never stores a credential. They are not a configuration step.
Vonage on the article is older than its API portal. It began as a residential VoIP provider and the article now lists unified communications, contact center applications, and communications APIs. The developer site that opened is the API layer. Do not treat a 1998 founding date as a release number for the Voice API.
Worked example
Two columns. Twilio: San Francisco, web service APIs, Voice in 2008, messaging API in February 2010. Vonage: Ericsson subsidiary, communications APIs named on the article. Current seat price: confirm.
Quiz
1. The Twilio article says the text messaging API was released in February 2010.
True. That month is in the history section that opened.
2. This lab stores an Authy or SendGrid secret so the next reader can call the API.
False. The article names the acquisitions. It does not ask you to publish a secret.
Ecosystem
Sister pieces sit on the ecosystem page: the glossary, the mind map, the integration map, and the bridges.
- Twilio Voice — The API the Twilio article says launched on 20 November 2008 for making and receiving phone calls hosted in the cloud.
- Vonage communications APIs — One of the three offering groups the Vonage article lists, beside unified communications and contact center applications.
Config. Write the company, the article title, and the product name you are about to open. Leave tokens out of the note.
Troubleshooting. If a teammate quotes a Vonage revenue figure, ask which sentence. The article states a 2020 consolidated revenue. That is not a 2026 price list.
Bridge. SendGrid is an acquisition named on the Twilio article. Email is not the voice ladder. Cite it when the topic is the company, not when the topic is RTP.
Mind map, sister technologies, and future hooks live on the ecosystem page.
