Questions a Webex Calling, Webex Contact Center, or UCCE-to-WxCC conversation actually asks. Each answer cites a written room. Where Cisco has not published a node map, T6-R04 keeps the row marked. The room is written.

Webex Calling

1. What does a registration-based Local Gateway trunk allow, and what does not?

t9xctu: registration trunks are CUBE only and up to 250 concurrent calls. Certificate trunks are the path above 250 and can use other device types the article lists. Endpoints do not register through the Local Gateway.

2. How do you tell Local Gateway from Survivability Gateway?

Local Gateway terminates the Calling trunk. BRKCOL-2312 describes Survivability Gateway as a site gateway, managed from Control Hub, that routes internal, external, and emergency calls during an outage. It is not a registration proxy for the phones.

3. Which SRTP cipher does commercial Webex Calling accept, and which does Webex for Government require?

jr1i3r: commercial crypto is AES_CM_128_HMAC_SHA1_80, and the article says Webex Calling only supports SHA1_80. For Government that SHA1 step is not applicable. AEAD_AES_256_GCM is mandatory, the trunk is certificate-based, and CUBE is the only SBC t9xctu names.

4. Why does a certificate trunk stay offline in Control Hub when the dial-peer is up?

t9xctu: every SIP transaction the gateway starts, including OPTIONS, needs a Contact header with the gateway FQDN. Without that FQDN, Control Hub does not show the gateway online.

5. What is destination-pattern BAD.BAD for?

What is destination-pattern BAD.BAD for: jr1i3r: it is a dummy pattern required when outbound calls are routed with an inbound dial-peer group. It is not a number you assign to a user.

6. In what order does IOS XE match an inbound SIP call?

Cisco document 211306: incoming URI via, then request, then to, then from, then called-number, then calling number or answer-address, then destination-pattern against the ANI. The first matching criterion wins. It is not a digit-by-digit hunt.

7. What does dial-peer hunt 0 do?

What does dial-peer hunt 0 do: Longest match, then explicit preference (a lower number is better), then random. huntstop stops the gateway from trying the next peer after a failure.

8. What does Control Hub Config Validation actually check?

Article 2zx7fg is for registration-based Local Gateways. It checks the Webex-facing dial-peers, tenant, and trustpoint. It does not validate the PSTN or PBX dial plan.

9. Which debug habit does the Local Gateway article want before you leave debug voip ccapi inout running?

jr1i3r’s method is Diagnostic Signatures. DS 64224 disables all debugs and uninstalls the signatures at 75 percent CPU. The IOS routing article is where ccapi inout is printed, for a call that fails the first peer and hunts.

10. What does ICE-Lite fail to optimize?

jr1i3r: stun usage ice lite on the Webex-facing dial-peers lets media optimize. Recording and other services that need cloud media cannot be optimized that way.

11. Where do unmatched calls go during a Unified CM coexistence?

The configuration workflow sends destinations Webex Calling does not own, including Unified CM extensions it has not learned, to the Local Gateway. Each moved group needs dial-plan updates on Unified CM, Webex Calling, and the gateways.

12. How does a calling search space choose a pattern?

CallManager System Guide, Release 4.0(1), chapter Partitions and Calling Search Spaces: digit analysis searches every partition in the CSS and keeps the closest match. If two partitions have an equal match, the one listed first wins. The null partition is searched last. The CUCM 12.5 troubleshooting chapter restates the same rule.

13. What happens when a line and a device both have a CSS?

The System Guide says CallManager concatenates them and places the line CSS in front of the device CSS. A combined CSS clause is capped at 1024 characters including separators. An individual CSS is 512.

14. Which recording provider is the default?

Cite both sentences in nhvl4hw. One says Webex is the default value if you only have Calling. A later sentence says Dubber is chosen by default because Dubber Go is included with the user entitlement. This Canon does not screenshot the live control. Webex retention is one year and 100 GB. Dubber Go is 30 days in the user portal.

15. What must an extension-only user’s emergency callback number be?

The location default, or another telephone number from that same location. A number from a different location is not that rule.

16. What does 933 prove in the United States and Canada?

What does 933 prove in the United States and Canada: It tests emergency-call email generation. It does not alert public safety personnel. Kari’s Law notification is a separate Control Hub toggle.

17. Name the three PSTN families for a Calling location.

Cisco Calling Plan, Cloud Connected PSTN, and premises PSTN through a Local Gateway trunk. Cisco PSTN is a paid option. It is not “paired” with the trunk by default.

18. What must you not paste from the Local Gateway sample?

jr1i3r includes sample registrar credentials. This Canon does not copy them. Use the trunk identity Control Hub generated.

19. Where do Webex Calling phones register?

To the Webex Calling service. Not through the Local Gateway, and not through Survivability Gateway as a normal registration path.

20. What is the trustpool URL the Local Gateway article uses?

crypto pki trustpool import clean url https://www.cisco.com/security/pki/trs/ios_core.p7b, the bundle jr1i3r names. Build the ACL from b2exve, revision history September 07, 2026, not from BRKCOL-2812 (2024). That article names certificate signaling destination TCP 5062, registration destination TCP 8934, phone signaling source ports 5060–5280 with the devices protocol cell blank, and local-gateway media source UDP 8000–48199 toward 5004, 9000, 8500–8699, and 19560–65535.

Webex Contact Center

21. What is an entry point, and what is a routing strategy?

utqcm7: an entry point is where the contact enters, and a flow is attached through a routing strategy. nfrs2adb: the strategy has dates, times in 0000–2400, weekdays, and a flow that is live or the latest version. You can flag one strategy as the default. The article recommends moving toward Business Hours without deleting existing strategies.

22. When should an outdial entry point use a flow instead of a strategy?

ewuay1: a strategy cannot customize outdial features such as flow, music, and outdial queues, and it cannot use Customize ANI, screen pop, or a global variable. Use a flow when you need those. An entry point name is at most 80 characters: letters, numbers, underscore, hyphen.

23. Which queue patterns exist, and which queue types get them?

np2fdx names Longest Available, Circular, and Linear/Top-down, plus skill criteria. ubg5qd: a non-skill team queue defaults to Longest Available. A non-skill agent-assignment queue defaults to Circular and can use Top-down. Best Available scores proficiency and is a skill-queue pattern. There is no fifth global name in these articles. If a screen shows another name, read np2fdx and ubg5qd before you teach it.

24. What is the agent cap on an agent-assignment queue?

ubg5qd: 1000 agents. That is not the team-queue cap, and it is not a tenant cap.

25. How do skills in the flow differ from skill criteria on the queue?

np2fdx: queue skill criteria select implicit agents. The team does not associate those skills. Skills injected in the flow can relax over call-distribution groups. Weights do not change Longest Available. Boolean, text, and enum skills decide eligibility. They are not a score. Best Available uses proficiency, and a less-than test is scored as 10 minus the value.

26. What does a variable queue do to the routing algorithm?

nhovcy4: a variable queue cannot take skill requirements. The contact is routed Longest Available even if the queue was configured with another algorithm. An invalid id uses the fallback queue.

27. When is estimated wait −1?

Get Queue Info returns −1 for a team-assignment queue that also has skills in the flow. Success means both position in queue and estimated wait are positive. Insufficient Information means position is valid and estimated wait is −1. The Erlang number in the Canon lab is a study model, not this EWT.

28. What sits between Queue Contact and an HTTP Request?

Play Message or Play Music. nhovcy4 says an HTTP Request immediately after Queue Contact may not see the data.

29. What is QueueToAgent, and what is Connect?

utqcm7: QueueToAgent is voice, aimed at an agent id. Connect is the non-telephony path. Chat and email on Connect are not the same thing as the CRM connectors, which exclude those channels.

30. What will the CRM connectors not do?

Cisco’s connector launches the agent Desktop inside Salesforce, Dynamics 365, or ServiceNow. Chat and email are not supported on those connectors. On-premises Dynamics is not supported. CIF 1 is single-session. CIF 2 is multi-session. This connector is not Microsoft’s product Dynamics 365 Contact Center.

31. What are the Search API windows?

What are the Search API windows: The developer page: FROM cannot be older than 36 months, and the query span cannot exceed 365 days. Scopes are cjp:config or cjp:config_read. The caller is an Admin or a Supervisor.

32. Can you paste Enterprise WFO SKUs onto multi-tenant WxCC?

No. py6u9h states those feature SKUs for Webex Contact Center Enterprise, Contact Center Enterprise, and Contact Center Express.

33. Is Flow Designer the Enterprise script editor?

No. The build-and-manage article is for Webex Contact Center flows. T4-R01 does not assign that tool to Enterprise scripting.

34. What does music on a routing strategy apply to?

nfrs2adb: not email or chat. The strategy article’s music setting is a telephony concern.

35. What is the sign-in rule for teams on a queue?

What is the sign-in rule for teams on a queue: np2fdx: an agent is offered work from the team they are signed into. Check Agent Availability skips an empty group. Agent-assignment does not use timed expansion the way team call-distribution groups do.

36. Where are queues configured?

Contact Center → Customer experience → Queues, as ubg5qd uses that path. utqcm7 says user profiles scope sites, teams, queues, and entry points, and queues are global so they must be granted. That article does not print a custom-role toggle name for the menu. Read utqcm7 before you name one.

37. What priority does Flow Designer apply when the variable is 15?

What priority does Flow Designer apply when the variable is 15: nhovcy4: legal priorities are 1 through 9. Outside that range the default is 10. Fifteen does not mean first.

38. What DNIS does a transferred call present when the entry point has both E.164 and an extension?

The E.164 number. The extension is not the DNIS in that case.

UCCE, PCCE, and WxCC

39. Are UCCE, PCCE, Webex CCE, and multi-tenant WxCC the same product?

No. nmhk7ve lists Unified Contact Center Express, Unified Contact Center Enterprise, Packaged Contact Center Enterprise, Webex Contact Center Enterprise, and Webex Contact Center as different products. Do not answer a migration question by renaming a node.

40. Can you describe cloud WxCC with Router, Logger, CVP, and Finesse?

No. Those names belong to the enterprise products’ component documentation. utqcm7’s multi-tenant picture is entry point, flow, queue, team, and agent. T6-R04 says the same and keeps ICM, CVP, CUIC, and Finesse on marked rows. T4-R02, the component room, is still planned.

41. Is there a Canon room that crosswalks a UCCE script to a WxCC flow?

Yes. Open T6-R04. It cites the Unified CCX discovery tool, the Webex Contact Center 1.0 upgrade, and the Webex CCE portal copy. The ICM script, CVP, skill group, peripheral, CUIC, Finesse, and UCCE dialed-number rows stay marked. None of those tools imports an ICM script into Flow Designer.

42. What would you migrate first from UCCE?

There is no cited UCCE cutover order in this Canon. For Unified CM to multi-tenant Calling, the cited order is PPDIO, and a shared hunt, queue, line, pickup, or park moves as one batch. Do not reuse that calling batch rule as if it were an ICM script rule.

43. What is Webex Contact Center Enterprise in one sentence?

A cloud contact center for large enterprises. It is not multi-tenant WxCC, and it is not on-premises UCCE.

44. What is the Quick Deployment range, and what is it not?

What is the Quick Deployment range, and what is it not: nyosarq: 500 to 24,000 concurrent agents, initial solution in the United States, agents in the United States, a fixed day-1 feature set. It is not the product maximum. A 5,000-agent figure in ny65x1bb is one customer with 20,000 users.

45. What does a Quick Deployment Standard agent get on day 1, and what does Premium add?

Standard: inbound and outbound voice, a browser desktop, web and voice callbacks. Premium adds email and web chat, multi-channel reporting, and supervisor monitoring and barge-in. DTMF IVR, Virtual Assistant–Voice, and nailed-up mobile agent are day-1 items for the offer, not Premium-only.

46. Where do Quick Deployment customizations go?

Assurance to Quality, A2Q. They are not in the initial deployment, and they add time.

47. How does the Dedicated Instance customer story move a call after transfer?

ny65x1bb: inbound media is Local Gateway to the agent. After transfer to a back-office user on Dedicated Instance, media is Local Gateway to that user. It is not bridged through the agent. That is one design, not a rule that every transfer works this way.

48. Does one Edge Connect peer replace the two-link DI rule?

Does one Edge Connect peer replace the two-link DI rule: No. ny65x1bb describes one peer toward Dedicated Instance and Webex Contact Center Enterprise. n68tcpb and tf6kpq still require two Dedicated Instance connections to two data centers. A single physical link is still the wrong order.

49. What stays on premises if the dial plan is the reason you did not move to multi-tenant Calling?

nbedetf names a complex dial plan as a reason to consider staying on Unified CM. Dedicated Instance is the add-on that keeps Unified CM, Unity Connection, and Expressway in the Webex cloud. It is purchased before activation, and the region cannot be moved afterward.

50. What must a DI CM group contain?

What must a DI CM group contain: 0ppivs: Unified CM nodes from both data centers in the region. Do not start the CallManager service on the publisher. Additional services of that kind should not be enabled.

51. Which calling migration is documented, and which contact-center migration is not in this desk?

Documented calling moves in the Canon are Unified CM (nbedetf and the T6-R02 workflow) and BroadWorks or BroadCloud. Contact center: T6-R04 cites the tools Cisco published and labels the UCCE/PCCE cutover as a Canon method, not a Cisco runbook. T6-R01 is a separate Canon planning room for a 2,000-seat CUCM plus UCCE scenario. That seat count is the scenario, not a Cisco scale number, and the runbook is not a Cisco document. Third-party PBX maps are T6-R05, still planned.

52. What phones cannot take the Enterprise-to-MPP path?

8821 and 8831. 7800 and other 8800 phones can use Control Hub’s migrate-to-Webex-Calling tool. An 8800 on V15 needs at least 11.3.3 MPP and cannot downgrade to an earlier MPP load.

53. What does do_not_move_phone belong to?

What does do_not_move_phone belong to: The BroadWorks migration only. It is not a flag on the Unified CM tool, and it is not a UCCE agent attribute.

54. How should you answer “map my ICM dialed number to an entry point”?

Open T6-R04. The products are different. A UCCE dialed number is a marked row. The 1.0 article does move a Dialed Number–Entry Point pair, and that sentence is about Webex Contact Center 1.0. Then describe an entry point from utqcm7, with a routing strategy and a flow, without claiming it replaces a UCCE dialed number.

More Calling and Contact Center

Who cannot use cloud PSTN: T6-R01 cites n0xb944: calls that originate from premises users.

70. What does t9xctu Table 5 say about 250 concurrent calls?

T6-R01: up to 250 prefers registration OTT. About 250–2000 prefers certificate OTT. About 2000–6500 prefers certificate interconnect. Do not flatten those bands.

71. What is the commercial SRTP suite?

What is the commercial SRTP suite: T7-R01 cites jr1i3r: AES_CM_128_HMAC_SHA1_80. The article says Webex Calling only supports SHA1_80.

72. What crypto does Webex for Government require?

83. How do you read the capacity-based 100?

T3-R01 quotes n7s6ed7 Table 3: Maximum number for a Capacity-Based Team is 100. Maximum Capacity-Based Teams for an organization is 50. Concurrent calls for those teams is 5000. The 100 is not an agent-per-team cap.

84. What does T3-R01 quote from n7s6ed7 for the 100 and 50 cells?

Table 3 prints a maximum of 100 for a Capacity-Based Team, 50 Capacity-Based Teams for an organization, and 5000 concurrent calls for those teams. The same page in the room also quotes active sites 300, active entry points 6000, and team-based queues 10500. Retrieved 2026-10-14.

100. Can one agent sit in the 1.0 legacy desktop and the new desktop together?

No. nb2ve0e says agents cannot simultaneously access both desktops, and that they can’t log in to both at once. Set Contact Center Enabled to False on the legacy platform and True on the new one. A different sentence uses “at the same time” for Recording Management.

101. How do courtesy callback, scheduled callback, VIP, and overflow actually work in Flow Designer?

T8-R02. Callback comes after Queue Contact or Queue To Agent. A different queue drops skills and priority and places the contact at the end. Schedule Callback needs the Callback Default Entry Point. Disconnect immediately after is recommended so the current call ends. VIP is Set Contact Priority, P1 highest through P9, and 10 when unset or out of range. Queue ranking can still serve a higher-ranked queue first. Team-queue overflow is the next call distribution group after the configured wait. Agent-assignment queues do not expand on a timer. Existing customers can keep using Routing Strategy until that feature is decommissioned.

102. How do you troubleshoot a Webex Calling dial plan or Cloud Connected PSTN call?

T7-R07. Premises-originated calls cannot use cloud PSTN. CCP numbers are stored as +E.164. The dial plan is global. Run Verify Call Routing, then Monitoring → Troubleshooting for the past 21 days, and separate a CCPP hop from a Local Gateway hop. PSTN receive metrics are not transmitted to the cloud. UnassignedNumber, NoRouteToDestination, and LocalGatewayLoop are the codes to name. Do not put agent phones on the contact-center PSTN location.

103. How do the Salesforce, Dynamics, and ServiceNow connectors differ?

T8-R04. All three launch the contact-center desktop inside the CRM, and all three say chat and email are unsupported on these connectors. Salesforce is Lightning only, on Development, Enterprise, and Ultimate editions. Its WebRTC browsers are Firefox and Chrome, and Edge is not supported. Dynamics uses CIF 1 for a single-session app and CIF 2 for a multi-session app. On-premises Dynamics is not supported. Its WebRTC browsers are Edge and Chrome. ServiceNow’s connector is for the modern Agent Workspace. The legacy workspace is unsupported starting with Xanadu. Predictive and Progressive are the campaign modes the articles name. Salesforce’s required campaign field is CAMPAIGN_CRM_ID. Dynamics and ServiceNow also require CAMPAIGN_CRM_TABLE.

104. T1-R02. 2 minutes, collisions. If Directory Sync or Entra ID is already on, SAML just-in-time create and update will not run.

2 minutes, collisions. If Directory Sync or Entra ID is already on, SAML just-in-time create and update will not run. A second IdP stays inactive until a routing rule exists. A userPrincipalName that is not the Control Hub email creates a new user. Entra will not push a null, so clearing an attribute in Entra leaves the Webex value. The manual bearer token lasts 365 days, and I mint it as a full admin in a private window.

105. T1-R02. 2 minutes. Supported servers on the September 15, 2026 guide are Windows Server 2025, 2022, 2019, and 2016, with TLS 1.2 and .NET Framework 4.5, and forest functional level 2 or…

2 minutes. Supported servers on the September 15, 2026 guide are Windows Server 2025, 2022, 2019, and 2016, with TLS 1.2 and .NET Framework 4.5, and forest functional level 2 or higher. The connector login is a full Control Hub admin. The service account that reads the directory defaults to local system. Groups need a full sync. Incremental sync stays off until that full sync exists. Organization SSO is SAML 2.0 with a transient NameID and a uid claim. Partner SSO sends mail.

106. T1-R02. 30 seconds, SCIM. SCIM needs no on-premises connector.

30 seconds, SCIM. SCIM needs no on-premises connector. Commercial tenant host is webexapis.com. Government host is api-usgov.webex.com. SCIM 2.0 synchronizes users and groups. Rooms and avatars stay on the Entra ID Wizard.

107. T1-R02. 30 seconds. Directory Connector is one Windows instance per Active Directory domain.

2 minutes, upgrades. I will not put Calling standard and Customer Assist on the same user. Attendant Console means Professional Calling. A professional workspace does not return to common area, even if the subscription changes. A professional-to-standard user change drops provisioning and configuration. Webex Calling 44.3 and earlier lose Calling services. If Calling settings error right after I add the license, I remove it and assign it again.

110. T1-R03. 2 minutes. Preserve licenses is on when I choose Existing users.

2 minutes. Preserve licenses is on when I choose Existing users. Clearing it removes licenses, including ones assigned by hand. Deleting the template does not strip people who already have the license. Nested groups do not inherit. Two Contact Center licenses become Premium agent. Host decreases the Meetings count. Attendee does not. A user created with a specific license skips the organization template. The basic defaults, if I leave them, are basic messaging, free Meetings, and Call on Webex.

2 minutes, neighbors. PSTN is chosen on the location after it exists. U.S. and Canada Cisco Calling Plan locations need an emergency service address. The routing prefix is also per location. A survivability gateway is per site, in the local network. Adding a user here can apply the organization license template when preserve is off. Group templates, CSV, and the API are the paths that article excludes.

115. T1-R04. 2 minutes. Manual create needs name, country, and street.

2 minutes. Manual create needs name, country, and street. The map appears when I pick a suggested address. CSV country codes are two letters. New CSV rows leave Location ID blank. Floors need a number. Manual user add from the location is 25. Changing the location time zone does not move an auto attendant, hunt group, or call queue, because those features copied the time zone at creation. A migrated name collision shows up as a -CALL suffix. Double-assigned workspaces are not supported.

30 seconds, territories. Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, and the U.S. Virgin Islands use the territory as the country when the numbers are territory-specific. United States as the country blocks those numbers.

117. T1-R04. 30 seconds. A location is a physical address.

30 seconds. A location is a physical address. One user, one workspace. Webex issues the Location ID. Calling and workspaces can share it. I do not delete a Calling location until I disable calling and remove Calling licenses from the people and places that still have them.

118. T1-R04. What you will say about an organization-wide location cap. This article does not state one.

What you will say about an organization-wide location cap. This article does not state one. The 250 figure belongs to how many locations one Webex Calling administrator can be assigned, and that sentence is in the delegation article.

119. T1-R05. 2 minutes, the fence. A location administrator cannot add or delete locations, cannot modify PSTN, cannot run bulk operations, and cannot add a device from the devices screen.

2 minutes, the fence. A location administrator cannot add or delete locations, cannot modify PSTN, cannot run bulk operations, and cannot add a device from the devices screen. They can add devices on a user or a workspace. On a hunt group they can delete any agent and add users only from their own locations. On a Calling call queue they can add users from other locations and can allow join or unjoin only inside their locations.

120. T1-R05. 2 minutes. I assign roles on the user summary or on a Webex group.

2 minutes. I assign roles on the user summary or on a Webex group. One organization can have 100 groups with roles, and one group can hold 20 roles. Read-only does not combine with a custom role. A direct read-only or location role blocks an incompatible group role until I remove it and re-add the user to the group. Compliance officers get user content and legal hold. Security activity administrators share the audit log with full administrators. I cannot grant myself Advanced Troubleshooting Access.

121. T1-R05. 30 seconds, locations. Location administrator is exclusive.

30 seconds, locations. Location administrator is exclusive. I can pick up to five locations in the drop-down, add up to five people to one location at a time, and a Webex Calling administrator can hold up to 250 assigned locations. That 250 is not an organization-wide cap.

122. T1-R05. 30 seconds. New users have no admin rights.

30 seconds. New users have no admin rights. Full administrator runs the organization and cannot also be a location administrator. Device administrator and user-and-device administrator cannot administer Webex Calling. A new role can take up to 10 minutes.

What you will say about the old CDR role. It is marked Obsolete and stays operational until December 31, 2026. New access is a custom role for the detailed call history APIs. Partner Hub role names stay in article 16gmxfb, which this pass did not re-read line by line.

124. T1-R07. 2 minutes, what I will not merge. I will not read the Meetings data-center list as the Messaging GEO.

2 minutes, what I will not merge. I will not read the Meetings data-center list as the Messaging GEO. Free Meetings accounts may sit outside the holder’s region, and that list can change. I will not promise the August 29, 2025 migration regions without a re-check. Compliance visibility continues across regions. Partners can create customer orgs in any region where the service is offered.

If most users are in one country, I pick that country. If they are spread out, I pick the country with the most users, and everyone is stored there. Meetings use the site time zone, and an EU city is Frankfurt. Calling uses the principal place of business from the order. Contact Center uses Country of Operation. AI content stays with the user-generated content. Audit retention is a year in most regions and three years in India, and search is only the past year.

126. T1-R07. 30 seconds, spaces. The creating organization owns a group space.

2 minutes. Before the move I inventory Unified CM, the Expressway-C and Expressway-E pair, and optional meeting servers and Unity Connection. Desk, Room, Board, IP phones, and Jabber are on Unified CM. After the move, Webex App on Windows, Mac, Android, and iOS registers to the cloud. Control Hub at admin.webex.com assigns a local gateway to a location and hands me CUBE parameters. A trunk terminates on that gateway. A route group is how I put trunks together. Dial plans are global, and the pattern rules live in the dial-plan room. If the directory is moving to Entra ID, I use the wizard. The migration section also lists the emergency address, the number of users, internet access, and PSTN access.

132. T2-R01. 30 seconds. Webex Calling in the migration guide is the multi-tenant cloud.

30 seconds. Webex Calling in the migration guide is the multi-tenant cloud. Phones register there. A local gateway is the bridge for PSTN and for calls that still involve Unified CM. Cisco Calling Plan and Cloud Connect need no gateway.

2 minutes. All of the listed devices can use a MAC. The activation-code subset is the 6800, 7800, and 8800 models the September 2026 article names, plus 7832, 8832, 9800, 9821, and 8875. RoomOS uses a code, and the CSV types are WEBEX or WEBEX_CALLING. An MPP needs firmware 11.3.1 SR2 before the code is typed, then it reboots. I can copy, email, or print the code, including to someone who is not the assignee. An ATA gets its VLAN and IP address first, because those settings lock after activation. If the room needs PSTN I choose Cisco Webex Calling, not the default Call on Webex service.

136. T2-R04. 30 seconds, delete. Deleting a workspace factory-resets an online MPP and returns it to the code screen.

140. T2-R05. 2 minutes. I create all of them under Services, Calling, Features, in a location.

2 minutes. I create all of them under Services, Calling, Features, in a location. A blank extension becomes the last four digits. Agent forwarding does not apply once the feature has sent the call. Hunt group busy is off until an admin enables it. Agents then use #51, #52, and #53. A queue’s recommended voice size is 50 agents, while the table allows more except for weighted and simultaneous. Queue size is 250 and must not be 0. Skill 1 is highest. Pickup is one group per user in one location, and the desk code is *98. Park is *68 after hold. The attendant’s location cannot change, and its no-input default is 10 seconds.

141. T2-R05. 30 seconds, caller ID. I can let agents present the group number.

30 seconds, caller ID. I can let agents present the group number. I cannot turn that policy off while an agent still uses it. In India the locations must share PSTN provider, country, and zone.

142. T2-R05. 30 seconds. A hunt group rings a list.

30 seconds. A hunt group rings a list. Circular, top down, and longest idle allow 1,000 agents. Weighted allows 100. Simultaneous allows 50. A call queue holds callers and belongs to the professional license. An auto attendant is the menu.

I download the template, license the platform, and use a public CA without a wildcard. mode webex-sgw opens 8933. I do not set SIP bind under voice service voip. Shared appearances count toward max-dn. In that mode I can have 100 hunt groups of 32 users and I cannot use weighted routing. Webex App shows a banner and keeps basic calls, including outgoing emergency if the local PSTN path is up. Messaging and meetings stop. A call that is up when failover starts is torn down. A call that is up when service returns stays up. If the user signs out, they wait for the network.

2 minutes. In the standalone figure the call hits an ingress gateway or CUBE, the gateway sends a SIP invite to Cisco VVB with the trigger, VVB requests VoiceXML over HTTP, and the instructions can point at ASR, TTS, or .wav files. Comprehensive has a switch leg on the gateway and a VRU leg on VVB. Micro-application VoiceXML returns only to the Call Server that owns the switch leg. Type 10 and SendToVRU are the ICME names. Basic ports are .wav and DTMF. Advanced adds speech and VXML applications.

245. T4-R06. 2 minutes. CTI failover needs duplex Unified CCE and both CTI sides.

2 minutes. CTI failover needs duplex Unified CCE and both CTI sides. The CTI server runs on the PG, and both sides use the same peripheral ID. Three missed five-second heartbeats, or a dead socket, moves Finesse to OUT_OF_SERVICE. Clients get 503 and no events. Finesse alternates servers until one connects, then publishes the last call and agent state. A call that begins and ends inside that window is not published. Test Connection may fail on the passive side. Both sides succeeding at once is the case I investigate.

2 minutes, dates. The reporting chapter I used was updated April 30, 2025, so the refresh and resolution sentences stay re-check. A February 2022 what’s-new line says Webex CCE CUIC lets non-admin owners see the All Users group. An 11.6 support note warns that old stock reports lie after a schema change. I import the current bundle and I do not paste that note’s SQL into a runbook.

250. T4-R07. 2 minutes. Stock bundles come from Cisco.com and are imported.

2 minutes. Stock bundles come from Cisco.com and are imported. Transitional templates are the simple set. All Fields templates are the ones I clone when I need every column, including precision queues. Outbound and Customer Collaboration Platform bundles are conditional. Contact Sharing shows targets and routing errors. Admin Security shows audit and permissions. Every stock report has a grid. I use Save As before I edit. The screen requirement printed in that chapter is 1366 by 768 or higher.

What you will not say. You will not invent a custom SQL report in the interview. The customization guide is the next book.

2 minutes, the other clusters. CUIC is a publisher and up to seven subscribers, and it spreads work around a dead node. Cloud Connect digital routing is active/standby with no dedicated private network. Cisco IdS is its own publisher and subscriber pair. The Unified CM publisher should not run devices, call processing, or CTI Manager if I can avoid it. The design guide I am quoting was updated March 15, 2025, so these rows stay re-check.

255. T4-R08. 2 minutes. Two physical networks.

2 minutes. Two physical networks. Private carries sync and MDS and must stay on one link per component, with QoS. Public carries Central Controller to PG traffic. If the private network fails, Side A stays up when it sees at least half its enabled PGs. Side B stays up only when it sees more than half. The loser goes isolated-disabled and its logger stops. If the private network returns inside 14 days, logger resync is automatic. A call already at an agent is not dropped just because the router peer failed. If the phone and the desktop are on opposite sides and the public network fails, the agent is signed out.

256. T4-R08. 30 seconds, the caps. Two thousand is the Finesse total on one Agent PG.

30 seconds, the caps. Two thousand is the Finesse total on one Agent PG. Forty-eight thousand is a January 2025 Webex CCE sentence, with 300 calls per second. I do not add them.

257. T4-R08. 30 seconds. Unified CCE runs Side A and Side B for redundancy.

30 seconds. Unified CCE runs Side A and Side B for redundancy. Both sides process every call. Either side can carry the full load. I do not load-balance the Router.

2 minutes, the boundaries. Webex Contact Center Enterprise as a cloud offer is a help article, not a replacement for this chapter. Flow Designer is a different product’s flow tool. The 500-to-24,000 quick-deployment range, the Finesse 2,000 line, and the 48,000 what’s-new sentence stay in their own rooms. The architecture chapter I am quoting was updated April 30, 2025, so it stays re-check.

260. T4-R09. 2 minutes. MDS keeps duplex state processes on the same messages in the same order.

2 minutes. MDS keeps duplex state processes on the same messages in the same order. OPC is one of those processes. The PIM is not. One PIM side is active per peripheral, and the other side activates if the connection drops. A Unified CM PG is primary for agent state because Unified CM tracks lines. A VRU PG tracks calls, not agents. Configuration changes go through DBAgent and the Router, and the Logger database is the authoritative copy. Historical reporting can move to an HDS.

261. T4-R09. 30 seconds, the index. I map T4 topics to those chapters.

30 seconds, the index. I map T4 topics to those chapters. I do not invent a classroom session number. SendToVRU is a named Script Editor node. The rest of a scripting course stays TODO-verify.

What you will not say. You will not quote a class date, a session number, or a personal biography.

264. T4-R10. 2 minutes, peering. The January 2025 early-access paragraph says Equinix Cloud Exchange or Megaport, and then says a private circuit through Virtual Connect via VPN.

2 minutes, peering. The January 2025 early-access paragraph says Equinix Cloud Exchange or Megaport, and then says a private circuit through Virtual Connect via VPN. I leave that sentence intact and I design from the September 17, 2026 Edge Connect article, which calls it private peering to Meetings, Calling, and Webex Contact Center Enterprise data centers. Digital channels also need a date: email, chat, and SMS in July 2023; WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger in the January 2025 block. Every nhy3hvdb section I used is older than twelve months, so those rows stay re-check.

265. T4-R10. 2 minutes. Hybrid IVR, July 2023, is a different idea: some IVR nodes stay on-premises, and the example is OTP, while other tasks use Dialogflow CX.

2 minutes. Hybrid IVR, July 2023, is a different idea: some IVR nodes stay on-premises, and the example is OTP, while other tasks use Dialogflow CX. A static CX message can cover up to 30 seconds. Regional media, July 2024, keeps audio in the caller’s region. In the U.S. tenant example, control signals are what travel home. VPN-less Finesse does not include FIPPA or several desktops behind one NAT. Custom SIP headers in the August 2023 standalone note ride the initial INVITE only.

266. T4-R10. 30 seconds, scale. Forty-eight thousand concurrent agents and 300 calls per second is a January 2025 single-tenant sentence.

30 seconds, scale. Forty-eight thousand concurrent agents and 300 calls per second is a January 2025 single-tenant sentence. Two thousand is the Finesse cluster line in another guide.

30 seconds. Webex CCE names two hybrid models in March 2022: SBC Peering and Localized RTP. I do not invent their call flows. The what’s-new page sends that detail to the partner technical guide.

268. T4-R10. What you will not say. You will not draw Localized RTP as Virtual Connect, and you will not treat the partner-guide pointer as a configuration you have already read.

What you will not say. You will not draw Localized RTP as Virtual Connect, and you will not treat the partner-guide pointer as a configuration you have already read.

269. T5-R01. 2 minutes, the boundary. Default interop trunks use the WXC-DI name pattern, one toward each data center, and I do not edit them.

2 minutes, the boundary. Default interop trunks use the WXC-DI name pattern, one toward each data center, and I do not edit them. The location needs a PSTN connection and a main number or the route group is unusable. RedSky objects are x-prefixed and the partner fills in the account ID. Peering, ASN 13445, and the choice among Partner Connect, Virtual Connect, and Edge Connect are the next two rooms. The introduction I am quoting was updated September 23, 2026. The base-configuration names come from May 27, 2025, so those rows stay re-check.

270. T5-R01. 2 minutes. Cisco sizes the cluster from Knowledge Workers and Common Area devices, not from the old on-premises bill of materials.

2 minutes. Cisco sizes the cluster from Knowledge Workers and Common Area devices, not from the old on-premises bill of materials. A full cluster is up to eight call-processing servers or about 50,000 devices on version 14 and above. I do not turn on call processing on the publisher or on TFTP and MOH nodes Cisco left inactive. I can configure 50,000 devices and up to 160,000 end users, including LDAP users who are only there for directory lookup. The first cluster in a region comes up within 48 hours. Later ones within five business days. Past three clusters I bring subnets. SME waits until I have three clusters, and its replication stays on the Cisco backbone.

271. T5-R01. 30 seconds, operations. Nightly backups keep the latest three.

30 seconds, operations. Nightly backups keep the latest three. I cannot download them to undo a mistake. MRA starts at 20 percent of Knowledge Workers even though the entitlement is 100 percent. B2B entitlement is 5 percent. Expressway-E blocks inbound B2B until I change the call policy.

272. T5-R01. 30 seconds. Dedicated Instance is a Webex Calling add-on built on Unified CM.

30 seconds. Dedicated Instance is a Webex Calling add-on built on Unified CM. It includes Unity Connection, Expressway, optional IM and Presence, optional SME, and Emergency Responder only in the Americas. Calling features are not the same as multi-tenant Webex Calling. A Webex Calling user cannot sit in a Dedicated Instance hunt group.

273. T5-R01. What you will not say. You will not say the platforms share hunt groups, and you will not treat a DRS backup as your rollback plan.

What you will not say. You will not say the platforms share hunt groups, and you will not treat a DRS backup as your rollback plan.

274. T5-R03. 2 minutes, Edge Connect. Webex ASN 13445.

2 minutes, Edge Connect. Webex ASN 13445. My peering subnet is a public /30 or /31. I do not advertise RFC 1918. If I use a private ASN, Webex strips it, so I steer with communities from 13445:200 up to 13445:900. A Dedicated Instance link must check redundancy and land on two data centers. Edge Connect 3.0 can put multi-tenant, Dedicated Instance, and Meetings on one peering capability, and the article that says so still requires two sites. Partner Connect and Virtual Connect were updated in 2025, so those rows stay re-check. The Edge Connect header I used is September 17, 2026.

275. T5-R03. 2 minutes. Partner Connect Direct is a 1 or 10 gigabit cross-connect.

2 minutes. Partner Connect Direct is a 1 or 10 gigabit cross-connect. Fabric is 200 megabits to 10 gigabits, and each customer needs a virtual connection. Addressing is a public /30 or /31, four subnets per geo, and a /16 for managing the UC apps. I cannot use Partner Connect for Calling and Meetings unless Dedicated Instance is on the order, and then I still add NAT and another Dot1Q tag. The data-center work is quoted as 10 business days. KSA is called out as unavailable.

276. T5-R03. 30 seconds, Virtual Connect. Two tunnels, 250 Mbps each, and the sum also stays at 250 Mbps because a failure lands everything on one tunnel.

30 seconds, Virtual Connect. Two tunnels, 250 Mbps each, and the sum also stays at 250 Mbps because a failure lands everything on one tunnel. Cisco gives me a private ASN from 64512 to 65534 and a /24 cut into two /25s. My CPE sends a default route.

277. T5-R03. 30 seconds. Dedicated Instance has three connectivity articles.

30 seconds. Dedicated Instance has three connectivity articles. Partner Connect is the partner’s aggregated private connection. Virtual Connect is two GRE-over-IPsec tunnels over the internet. Edge Connect is private peering through Equinix or Megaport. I activate the region before I request the first two.

278. T5-R03. What you will not say. You will not put the 250 Mbps ceiling on an Edge Connect order, and you will not drop the second site because a sentence said “single peering.”

What you will not say. You will not put the 250 Mbps ceiling on an Edge Connect order, and you will not drop the second site because a sentence said “single peering.”

279. Who owns a Dedicated Instance service restart?

The customer or partner notifies Cisco, then restarts. TAC cannot. Widespread non-configuration faults on a whole cluster stay with Cisco. A single route-pattern mistake stays with the customer or partner, and cluster restore still stays with Cisco.

280. How do Dedicated Instance and multi-tenant Calling share a number plan?

Certificate trunks over the Webex backbone, prefixes WXC-DI and xWxC, and the header X-DI-WxC-otg. Do not edit the default trunks. A user is on one platform. Contiguous numbers and group features such as pickup and hunt stay on one platform.

281. What does the Dedicated Instance migration assistant actually do?

What does the Dedicated Instance migration assistant actually do: It assesses readiness. It does not migrate. A certified provider tool does. Freeze is 2–3 weeks. The cutover window must not exceed 10 hours. Rollback mirrors cutover, not DRS.

282. Why can call park be both mapped and unsupported?

The feature-tool overview lists call park. A later note says CallPark.csv and CallPickupgroup.csv are not currently supported, and the CDR script writes those files. Teach both sentences.

283. How does a Microsoft Teams agent receive a Webex Contact Center call?

Through Local Gateway Direct SIP, registration or certificate, CUBE or an approved SBC, with +E.164 on the gateway. Cisco does not support connecting Webex Calling PSTN calls directly to Teams endpoints.

284. When is a requested port date real?

When the losing carrier returns an FOC. Before that you can change the order in Control Hub. After that you open PTS. Do not disconnect the losing carrier until the port is verified.

285. How do you keep Unified CM and Webex Calling from looping?

Put +E.164 patterns for Webex Calling destinations in a dedicated partition, and keep that partition out of the Local Gateway trunk’s inbound calling search space.

286. T6-R07. 2 minutes, batches. I pick single-step or dual-step first.

2 minutes, batches. I pick single-step or dual-step first. Dual-step moves the Webex App before calling. [cite:1] I migrate a site or a dependency set together, then test that subset before the next group. Directory sync stays on the pilot group. [cite:3]

287. T6-R07. 2 minutes. Extension length is global, from two to ten digits.
