2,000-seat cutover
T6-R01. A Canon planning room for a scenario: 2,000 seats on CUCM and UCCE, moving toward Webex Calling and Webex Contact Center. The seat count is the exercise, not a Cisco limit.
01 Β· TL;DR
Rebuild beside the old estate
02 Β· Map
Two migrations, one scenario
03 Β· Core
What you may claim
The calling half starts from the Unified CM migration introduction. It is not a CSS conversion table. [cite:1]
As of 2026-10-14, t9xctu Table 5 maps concurrent calls to a trunk preference: up to 250 registration-based OTT, about 250β2000 certificate-based OTT, about 2000β6500 certificate-based interconnect. A 2,000-seat office can sit in any row depending on busy-hour calls. [cite:2]
n0xb944 says calls originating from premises users cannot access cloud PSTN. Mixed sites need a premises path for the users who have not moved. [cite:3]
The contact-center half is T6-R04. Three tools exist, and none of them imports an ICM script. The CCX discovery tool is not pointed at a UCCE logger. Skill groups, peripherals, CUIC, Finesse, and UCCE dialed numbers stay marked there. [cite:4]
The objects you can build from the architecture article are the entry point, the flow, the queue, and the team. [cite:5]
04 Β· Ecosystem
Ecosystem and sister technologies
- Scenario size
- 2,000 seats is the design exercise in this room. It is not a Cisco limit and it is not a concurrent-call count.
- Canon planning
- The phase list and the cutover runbook below are a Canon method. Cisco has not published a 2,000-seat CUCM plus UCCE runbook in the articles this room cites.
- PPDIO
- The calling migration introduction is the door for Unified CM to Webex Calling. The contact-center cutover is not that article. [cite:1]
- Concurrent calls
- t9xctu Table 5, as of 2026-10-14: up to 250 concurrent prefers registration OTT; about 250β2000 prefers certificate OTT; about 2000β6500 prefers certificate interconnect. Size trunks from concurrent calls. [cite:2]
- Premises PSTN limit
- Calls that originate from premises users cannot use cloud PSTN. [cite:3]
- CSS versus patterns
- CUCM closest-match is the CallManager System Guide rule: every partition, closest match, order only as a tie-break. That is not the Webex wildcard engine. Field equivalence stays marked in T6-R02 and T2-R03. [cite:10]
- No ICM import
- None of the three published tools imports an ICM script into Flow Designer. Those rows stay marked in T6-R04. [cite:4]
- CCX jar is not UCCE
- 0hd75db is Unified CCX. Do not point it at a UCCE logger. [cite:4]
- Entry point
- The multi-tenant front door: entry point, flow, queue, team. [cite:5]
- Pilot
- The 1.0 article says test a few users before you move everyone. That article is inside WxCC 1.0, not UCCE. The Canon method copies the caution, not the product. [cite:6]
- 933 before agents
- WebRTC agents need RedSky tested before they take live calls. [cite:7]
- Recording choice
- Quote both nhvl4hw defaults. Recording also disables Calling E2EE. [cite:8] [cite:9]
- Analyzer versus CUIC
- Canon planning: keep CUIC until a person compares one report. nb2ve0e cleanup makes legacy Analyzer data available. That article does not mention CUIC. The CUIC row stays marked in T6-R04. [cite:6]
- Dual desktop
- Finesse and Agent Desktop on the same UCCE call stays marked in T6-R04. This runbook does not schedule that coexistence.
- Number move
- Canon planning: move one number only after the new flow answers. Do not move numbers with the CCX workbook. That workbook is a CCX extract, cited from T6-R04.
- Rollback
- Leave the old route in place until the new path has answered a test call. Canon planning, not a Cisco command.
Sister-technology matrix
| Sister | What it is | Why it matters | Config touchpoint | Typical failure | Cite |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Unified CM | The 2,000-seat PBX in this scenario | CSS, partitions, and route patterns stay until you cut users. | T6-R02 | Treating closest-match as the Webex dial plan. | [cite:1] |
| UCCE or PCCE | The contact-center half | ICM scripts, skill groups, and dialed numbers have no published map. | T6-R04 | Running the CCX jar against the logger. | [cite:4] |
| Webex Calling | Target for users and numbers you choose to move | Trunk size follows concurrent calls, not the seat slogan. | t9xctu Table 5 | Buying a registration trunk for thousands of concurrent calls. | [cite:2] |
| Cloud PSTN | Cisco Calling Plan or CCP | Only for Webex Calling users. Premises users cannot use it. | T2-R03 | Sending a CUCM phone out a cloud PSTN trunk. | [cite:3] |
| Local Gateway | Premises PSTN and the hybrid years | Certificate trunks above 250 concurrent calls. | T2-R02 | Using a 2024 slide as the ACL. | [cite:2] |
| WxCC | Target contact center for the queues you rebuild | Entry point, flow, queue, team. | T3-R01 | Noun-swapping an ICM script. | [cite:5] |
| RedSky | Before any WebRTC agent is live | 933, then Emergency call routing. | T2-R06 | Cutting agents onto the browser with no Device User Id. | [cite:7] |
| Analyzer and CUIC | Two reporters during coexistence | Compare by hand. | T3-R07 and T6-R04 | Turning CUIC off on day one. | T3-R07 |
| Workforce management | py6u9h, header June 09, 2026, lists minimum WFO SKUs for Webex Contact Center Enterprise, Contact Center Enterprise, and Contact Center Express. WFM Agent Assist requires the Full WFM SKU A-FLEX-WFO-NWFM2. | That scope sentence is not a multi-tenant order. | Read Table 1 in py6u9h before copying a SKU onto the new tenant. | Applying A-FLEX-WFO-NWFM2 to multi-tenant because the cutover rebuilt the queues. | [cite:12] |
| Quality and recording | Calling recordings: Webex keeps them one year, 100 GB per organization. Dubber Go keeps each recording 30 days. Both βdefaultβ sentences are in nhvl4hw. | Read Webex Calling retention in nhvl4hw and the queue recording switch in the contact-center article. The clocks differ, which is why a Calling number is not the WxCC quality-management policy. | Pick the Calling provider in nhvl4hw. Leave the queue recording switch to the queue article. | Pasting one year or 30 days onto the contact-center QM policy. | [cite:9] |
| Analytics | Analyzer real-time reports remain available and refresh automatically. A new real-time report defaults to 5 seconds. The drop-down runs from 5 to 60 seconds in steps of 5. Historical reports stay active 8 hours. | CUIC stays up during coexistence. This clock is not a CUIC import. | Open stock reports under Visualizations. Excel or CSV export is for historical visualizations. Real-time and compound visualizations are not exported. | Turning CUIC off on day one, or calling a 60-second desktop widget this Analyzer default. | [cite:13] |
| CRM | Ciscoβs Dynamics 365 connector uses CIF 1 for single-session apps and CIF 2 for multi-session apps. On-premises Dynamics is not supported. | This is a screen-pop connector. It is not Microsoft Dynamics 365 Contact Center. | Channel host wxcc-crmconnectors.ciscoccservice.com. Match CIF generation to the app type. | Pointing the connector at on-premises Dynamics. | [cite:14] |
| AI agents | s0qro1, header August 25, 2026, says access to the autonomous AI agent for voice calls is limited to specific customers. | The CCX discovery workbook does not create these agents. | Build the agent in its own article, then attach it. Do not expect the migration jar to do that. | Telling the pilot that the CCX zip imported an AI agent. | [cite:15] |
| Google CCAI | n6gaghu says to configure the Google CCAI connector in Control Hub, then create the Contact Center AI feature. The system generates a CCAI config ID for Flow Control. | Dialogflow CX and Dialogflow ES are that article. Webex AI agents are a separate article. | Connector, then CCAI configuration, then the config ID in the flow. | Looking for a Google CCAI node inside an ICM script. | [cite:16] |
| Amazon Connect | No Amazon Connect connector is named in the articles this room cites. | nbedetf is a Unified CM to Webex Calling migration. It is not a contact-center parity matrix. | Do not add an Amazon contact-flow import to the cutover list. | Treating an Amazon export as a Flow Designer file. | [cite:1] |
| Teams calling | n0l9q2z, header July 08, 2026, installs Cisco Call as the Teams calling app. Presence sync is a Control Hub toggle. A Unified CM backend in that article needs Unified CM 12.5 SU7 or 14 SU3. | This is calling inside Teams. It does not replace Agent Desktop or move an ICM script. | Teams admin: Teams apps > Manage apps, allow Cisco Call, then a setup policy that pins it. Control Hub: Webex App tab, Microsoft Teams integration, Presence sync. | Using Teams Phone as the contact-center desktop for this cut. | [cite:17] |
Integration edges
| From | To | Mechanism | What moves | Cite |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| CUCM user | Webex Calling user | Calling migration tools in T6-R02 | Features the migration article lists, not a guessed CSS table | [cite:1] |
| Premises user | Cloud PSTN | Not allowed | n0xb944 | [cite:3] |
| Concurrent calls | Trunk type | t9xctu Table 5 | Registration versus certificate | [cite:2] |
| UCCE dialed number | WxCC entry point | No published map | Build the entry point beside the old number | [cite:4] |
| ICM script | Flow Designer | No import | Rewrite the flow and test it | [cite:4] |
| WebRTC agent | RedSky | nvfbjts | 933 before production | [cite:7] |
| Recording policy | E2EE toggle | Recording wins by disabling E2EE | Decide before the pilot | [cite:8] [cite:9] |
| Pilot agents | One number | Canon planning | Cut only after the flow answers | This room |
| Google CCAI connector | Flow Control | CCAI config ID from Control Hub | Dialogflow CX or ES. Not an ICM node. | [cite:16] |
| Cisco Call app | Microsoft Teams | Allow the app, pin it, toggle Presence sync | Calling. Not a contact-center parity map. | [cite:17] |
| Dynamics 365 | Agent desktop | CIF 1 or CIF 2 channel provider | Voice session in cloud Dynamics. On-premises is unsupported. | [cite:14] |
Ecosystem troubleshooting
| Symptom | Likely sister-system cause | Check | Fix | Cite |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| WFO SKU rejected on the new tenant | py6u9h scopes those SKUs to Enterprise, CCE, and CCX. | The order type, not the queue name. | Do not copy A-FLEX-WFO-NWFM2 onto multi-tenant from that table. | [cite:12] |
| Analyzer and CUIC disagree on day one | They are different reporters. Analyzer historical sessions last 8 hours. A new real-time report refreshes every 5 seconds unless you change the 5-to-60 drop-down. | Which tool printed the number. | Leave CUIC up and compare a named report by hand. | [cite:13] |
| Dynamics connector refuses the instance | On-premises Dynamics, or CIF 1 on a multi-session app. | Cloud instance and app type. | Use CIF 2 for a multi-session app. CIF 1 is the single-session pair. | [cite:14] |
| Teams users have no Cisco Call icon | The app was not allowed, or the setup policy did not pin it. | Teams apps > Manage apps, then Setup policies. | Allow Cisco Call and pin it at the top of the app bar and messaging extensions. Then toggle Presence sync. | [cite:17] |
05 Β· Flow
Phases
- Inventory, Canon planning. List sites, CSS and partitions, route patterns, devices, and busy-hour concurrent calls. List UCCE dialed numbers, call types, skill groups, and scripts as names you will rebuild, not as objects a tool will convert. [cite:1] [cite:4]
- Calling design. Follow the Unified CM migration introduction for users you intend to move. Keep CUCM closest-match out of the Webex pattern engine. [cite:1]
- Trunk and PSTN. Choose registration or certificate from concurrent calls, not from 2,000 seats. Premises users do not get cloud PSTN. [cite:2] [cite:3]
- Security choices before the pilot. Quote both recording defaults. If a call must be recorded, Calling E2EE is off. Build RedSky and pass 933 before any WebRTC agent is in the pilot. [cite:7] [cite:8] [cite:9]
- Contact center beside the old estate. Create entry points, flows, queues, and teams. Do not run the CCX jar. Do not rename ICM nodes. [cite:4] [cite:5]
- Pilot. A few agents, one flow, lab numbers. The caution to test a few users first is the WxCC 1.0 article, not a claim that UCCE uses that portal. [cite:6]
- One number. Canon planning. Cut a single dialed number only after the new flow answers. Leave the old route until that call is logged.
- Reports. Canon planning. Leave CUIC up. Compare a named report in Analyzer by hand. T3-R07 has the clocks. nb2ve0e does not convert CUIC. [cite:6]
Nothing in this list is a Cisco runbook. If a later article contradicts a step, the article wins and this page changes.
06 Β· Config
Cutover runbook
- Freeze a window. Write the one number, the entry point, and the rollback route on one page.
- Confirm RedSky from nvfbjts: 933 has been placed, Emergency call routing is the mode you intend, and each pilot agentβs identification type is Device User Id equal to the email. Header September 08, 2024. re-check [cite:7] mwjlgk, header September 03, 2025, is the agent install. It confirms https://wxc.e911cloud.com and a verification email. It does not replace those admin steps. [cite:11]
- Confirm the flow is published and a lab call has reached an agent.
- Move that one number. Place one test call. Save the result.
- If the call fails, send it back to the route you did not delete. Do not debug by moving the rest of the range.
- If the call succeeds, leave CUIC and the old scripts in place. Expand only after a written comparison.
This runbook is Canon planning. It is not nbedetf, not the CCX workbook, and not the WxCC 1.0 portal move.

08 Β· Trouble
Trouble
| Symptom | Wrong story | What you can cite | Do this | Cite |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| The plan says 2,000 concurrent calls because there are 2,000 seats | Seats are not concurrent calls. | Size the trunk from busy-hour concurrent calls and t9xctu Table 5. | Rewrite the capacity slide. | [cite:2] |
| A registration trunk is ordered for the whole estate | Registration trunks stop at 250 concurrent calls. | Above that, the getting-started article says certificate-based. | Change the trunk type. | [cite:2] |
| Premises phones are pointed at Cisco Calling Plan | Premises-originated calls cannot use cloud PSTN. | Give those users a premises path or move the users. | Read n0xb944. | [cite:3] |
| The CCX jar is aimed at the UCCE logger | The article is Unified CCX. | Stop. UCCE objects stay marked in T6-R04. | Do not run it. | [cite:4] |
| ICM scripts are βimportedβ by renaming nodes | No article maps a node. | Rebuild the flow and test it. | Keep the crosswalk marks. | [cite:4] |
| Agents go live on WebRTC before 933 | nvfbjts requires the RedSky path for browsers. | Test 933, then activate routing. | Block the pilot. | [cite:7] |
| The design promises recording and Calling E2EE on the same call | Recording disables E2EE. | Pick one for that call type. | Write it in the decision log. | [cite:8] [cite:9] |
| Both desktops are scheduled on one UCCE call | That coexistence is still marked in T6-R04. | Do not plan it. | One desktop per call. | T6-R04 |
| CUIC is decommissioned at cutover | Nobody has compared a report. | Keep CUIC until the comparison exists. | Analyzer is T3-R07, not a converter. | T3-R07 |
| Fifty numbers move because the pilot felt fine | The Canon method cuts one number after the flow answers. | Expand only with a written result. | Rollback is the old route, still in place. | This room |

Two desktops on one UCCE call.
Answer
Do not schedule Finesse and Agent Desktop on the same call. T6-R04 has no dual-desktop or shared-call article in its cites. Agents cannot use the legacy desktop and the new desktop at once, and that split is a profile flag.
Draw phases without dates.
Answer
Inventory, Calling design, Trunk and PSTN, Security choices before the pilot, Contact center beside the old estate, Pilot, One number, Reports. RedSky sits inside the security phase. These names are Canon planning.
Rollback in this room is:
Answer
Rollback in this room is: A Canon planning step: the old route is still there until you choose to remove it. Not a hidden Cisco command.

30 seconds. I would not move 2,000 CUCM and UCCE seats with one tool. Calling follows the migration introduction. Contact center is rebuilt as entry points and flows. The cutover list in T6-R01 is Canon planning.
2 minutes. Trunks follow concurrent calls. Premises users cannot use cloud PSTN. I do not run the CCX jar on UCCE. I do not promise recording and Calling E2EE together. WebRTC agents wait for 933. CUIC stays until Analyzer is compared by hand. One number moves at a time.
