Rooms

  1. Oracle SBC objects

Oracle Communications SBC, formerly Acme Packet, is configured with realms, interfaces, session agents, and manipulation objects.

  2. Header rules run in order

Oracle HMR header rules run in configured order. The 10.1 fundamentals page names add, delete, manipulate, store, and reject.

  3. Ribbon Edge, Core, and public validation lists

SBC SWe Edge shares a software family with SBC 1000 and SBC 2000. SBC Core is a separate family. Admin guides and interop guides are the sources for procedures.

  4. AudioCodes manipulation in software 7.6

Software 7.6 message manipulation is a table of Message Type, Condition, Action Subject, Action Type, and Action Value, assigned to an IP group.

  5. Three manipulation grammars

CUBE, Oracle HMR, and AudioCodes 7.6 can each remove a header. The grammars are not interchangeable.

  6. Identity at a trust boundary

P-Asserted-Identity is a network-asserted identity. An SBC at a trust boundary decides whether that assertion continues.

  7. Certificate names and Contact

The certificate name and the SIP Contact need to be names the peer accepts. Teams and Webex Local Gateway do not share a wildcard rule.

Ecosystem

SIP does not replace workforce management, quality monitoring, CRM, emergency policy, or a messaging registry. It is the session seam those systems hang from. Compliance notes on this page are educational and are not legal advice.
