An inbound campaign receives calls for a DNIS and processes them with that campaign's IVR script. The inbound topic is blunt about state: if the campaign is not running, callers hear a busy signal.

Greetings, skills, and hold music never get a chance to run in that state. The first check on a new number is the campaign state, not the carrier.

State comes before treatment.

Worked example

State drill

List three states you would check before a trunk ticket.

  1. Campaign running
  2. DNIS attached
  3. Script assigned

Busy is explained or you have a real trunk symptom.

A stopped inbound campaign sounds like
What processes the answered call?
DNIS means
Hold music is configured where, relative to answer?
First check when a new number is busy?
